WELCOME TO GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL
GRASSROOTS YOUTH FOOTBALL is a unique training and spring football league committed to elevating the culture of youth football to a higher level of awareness and competition. While traditional leagues start late summer and conclude at the end of fall, the GRASSROOTS YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE (GYFL) is the first of its kind to offer a full-tackle season for athletes in the DMV, aged 12-15.
Our goal is to provide an outlet for serious athletes that want to hone their skills and continue their development year round. Our NFL style combines serve as try-outs for our All-Star teams, as well as auditions for some of the top public and private school coaches in our area. For those athletes that earn a spot on our roster, we play a 2-month spring/summer season. Those that don't make a roster can still benefit by training and developing their skill sets with our top-notch trainers.
The GYFL consists of All-Star teams in Baltimore Metro, Charles County, District of Columbia, Fairfax County, Howard County, Loudoun County, Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, Prince William County, and Southern Maryland.
Our hope is to form leagues across the country and create a playoff system that would see individual leagues come together to play for Regional and National titles. We welcome inquiries from any county, city, or state.
